MOVING RIGHT ALONG: Elsewhere on the tech scene, musician/entrepreneur Scott Whitney is finding sweet music online. In only a month, he says his Los Gatos-based TimbreWorx Music has sold more than 10,000 CDs to corporations for holiday gifts.

The reasoning is simple: Rather than giving out repackaged music by artists everyone has heard too many times before, companies can send CDs of good tunes by undiscovered artists. That way, recipients are more likely to remember the company's brand than the performers' fame. And who are these undiscovered talents?
